Hernon Manufacturing Inc. plans to quadruple its 25,000-square-foot plant by the end of 2013. Investing up to $1.4 million in the expansion, the Sanford-based industrial solvents and adhesives company also anticipates hiring about 15 to 20 additional workers at its 4.5-acre headquarters in late 2012. Most of those will work on the production line, but the firm also will hire office workers, equipment assemblers and machinists, and pay about $30,000 to $70,000 for these jobs. A design for the new building has been completed, but Hernon Manufacturing has not hired a contractor for the project yet.
Hernon Dover to provide repackaging and distribution for Hernon’s product lines in China.
March 14, 2011 – Sanford, Florida, United States – HERNON Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesive and sealing technologies has confirmed that it has signed a joint venture agreement with the China based ShenZhen Dover Technology Co., Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, Hernon Dover will provide direct order fulfillment, product support, and repackaging for Hernon’s existing network of Chinese distributors and direct customers.
The joint venture has agreed to repackage the Hernon products under the label Hernon Dover.
Initially, the joint venture will seek to expand the use of Hernon’s high performance adhesives and sealants in the electronic and speaker manufacturing sectors. However, both companies anticipate an expansion into multiple sectors and industries as Hernon Dover will have access to the complete Hernon product line with over 300 products available for sale.

The Auto Sealer 5000, custom built to meet the assembly line specifications for a leading ammunitions manufacturer in the United States, will be placed in use in early 2011.
HERNON®’s new Auto Sealer 5000 series of machines are capable of sealing various calibers of assembled pistol, rifle, and blank ammunition on a single machine by simply changing out the particular conveyor belt – a process that can be completed in 15 minutes or less of downtime. HERNON®’s machines are capable of simultaneously applying projectile and primer sealant, vision systems inspections, and UV curing at speeds in excess of 200 rounds per minute.
